 Safety Precautions

Danger! Risk of electric shock. Do not disassemble the machine!

Please contact RESPIREASY for technical assistance .

Warning

Special care must be taken to reduce fire hazards when using oxygen . Any flammable and non-flammable materials can become highly flammable and burn rapidly in high oxygen concentrations . For safety, any flammable materials should be kept away from the molecular sieve oxygen concentrator , preferably not in the same room; and "No Smoking".

·  Oil , grease , or oily substances are highly susceptible to self-fuel when they come into contact with oxygen under pressure. These materials must be kept away from the oxygen concentrator , oxygen tubing , connectors , and other oxygen-producing components .

·  It  is recommended that you switch-on the oxygen generator for the best persormance for more than 30 minutes.Frequent machine switch-off fora short period time can reduce service lifespan .

·  Keep the power cord away from heat sources or hot surfaces!

·  Do not move the oxygen concentrator by pulling on the power cord!

② Product Features

Ⅰ.Overview

The oxygen inhalation function: Inhaling oxygen can effectively improve the  body's oxygen supply, achieving the purpose of oxygen supplementation and  health maintenance. It is suitable for the elderly, pregnant women, those with weak constitutions, as well as students and office workers who experience varying degrees of physiological hypoxia. It can also be used to relieve fatigue  and quickly restore physical functions after intense physical or mental exertion.

This series of oxygen concentrators uses high-quality molecular sieve as the adsorbent, producing oxygen that meets health standards directly from the air  through the pressure swing adsorption (PSA) method. These oxygen concentrators are compact, lightweight, energy-efficient, low-noise, and easy  to operate.

IV. Working Principle

Air is compressed by an oil-free air compressor, and the compressed air flows to the inlet P of the rotary valve, which is controlled by the control panel.

1. When the rotary valve is energized, the compressed air flows from P to A, then from the A port of the rotary valve to the molecular sieve (A bed). The nitrogen in the compressed air is adsorbed by the molecular sieve, while oxygen enters the flow meter to control the output flow for oxygen use.  Another path enters the molecular sieve (B bed) through the desorption port for washing and desorption, and the desorbed gas is discharged to the atmosphere through the exhaust silencer of the rotary valve.

2. When the rotary valve loses power, the compressed air flows from P to B, then from the B port of the rotary valve to the molecular sieve (B bed). The nitrogen in the compressed air is adsorbed by the molecular sieve, while oxygen enters the flow meter to control the flow for oxygen use. Another path enters the molecular sieve (A bed) through the desorption port for washing and desorption, and the desorbed mixed gas is discharged to the atmosphere through the exhaust silencer of the rotary valve.

After this working cycle ends, the rotary valve is controlled again, entering the program for A. This process continuously adsorbs nitrogen and collects oxygen, enabling the two beds (A and B) to work alternately, thereby producing oxygen directly from the air and providing a continuous supply of oxygen for use.

 Installation and Use

I. Preparation

1 . Remove the oxygen concentrator from the packaging box and take off all packaging materials .

2 . (As shown in Figure 5) Connect one end of the "oxygen delivery tube " to the   humidifier bottle interface and the other end to the oxygen outlet of the concentrator; you can also connect it directly to a nasal cannula for use .

Note: The humidifier bottle can function without water ; adding water is to humidify the oxygen and will not affect the oxygen production efficiency.

3. To add water to the humidifier bottle , loosen the bottle cap , add purified water , ensuring the water level does not exceed   the maximum water level line; then tighten the bottle cap and pull the elastic securing strap to place the humidifier bottle in the fixed slot of the oxygen concentrator .

4. Connect the power cord:

First , ensure that the power switch of the oxygen concentrator is off. Then connect one end of the power cord to the power socket of the oxygen concentrator and the other end to a grounded socket with power output . Do not use an extension cord.

While the concentrator is working, it will emit a “thud-- puff--” sound every few seconds, which is the normal sound of ventilation and exhaust. You can adjust the flow rate using the “Flow” button.

Note: The oxygen concentration will stabilize after approximately 30 minutes of initial operation.

2. As shown in Figure 6, connect one end of the nasal cannula to the oxygen outlet of the humidifier bottle and ensure the other end is properly worn by the patient to begin oxygen inhalation.

-- Adjust the oxygen inhalation time and flow rate according to medical advice.

-- After completing oxygen inhalation, turn off the oxygen concentrator and remove the oxygen delivery tube.

⑥ Maintenance and Care

Warning: Before Maintenance of the Oxygen Concentrator, Disconnect the Power Supply.

·The oxygen concentrator should be placed in a dry, dust-free, and well- ventilated area. Ensure that the air intake and exhaust ports are unobstructed.

· Oxygen delivery devices (such as nasal cannulas) should be used by designated individuals to ensure hygiene.

I.Cleaning the Entire Unit

The exterior of the unit should be wiped clean at least once a month. First, disconnect the power supply, then use a clean, soft, slightly damp cloth or sponge to wipe it down. Do not allow liquid to seep into the seams of the casing.

II. Cleaning or Replacing the Filter and Air Intake Sponge Filter

Cleaning and replacing the filters and air intake sponge filter is crucial for  protecting the compressor and molecular sieve, and for extending the lifespan of the oxygen concentrator. Please clean or replace them promptly.

* The oxygen filter should be replaced every 2-3 months

Warning:

·Do not operate the oxygen concentrator if the filter or air intake sponge filter  is not installed or is damp, as this can cause permanent damage to the machine.

1, Removing the Filter/Air Intake Sponge Filter:

The filter/air intake sponge filter is located at the back of the machine. Gently pull the filter outwards as indicated by the arrow in Figure 7(The actual cleaning time for the filter should be determined based on usage time and environmental conditions. If there is significant dust accumulation, it should be cleaned or replaced immediately, regardless of the duration of use.)

2, Cleaning &Replacing:

The expired oxygen filter may lead to DEDAKJ Oxygen home oxygen concentrator can not put out oxygen like it should be.

So the oxygen filter should be replaced the new one in time.

The air filter should be replaced every 2-4 months, depending on the usage environment.

III. Cleaning the Humidifier Bottle

The water in the humidifier bottle should be changed daily, and the filter should be cleaned once a week. First, wash with a mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly with clean water to ensure hygienic oxygen use. When cleaning the humidifier bottle, be sure to also clean the accompanying humidifier cap.

Note: If the humidifier bottle has not been cleaned for a long time or if the water has not been changed, resulting in scale or odors, soak it in vinegar for at least half an hour.

Shake it to clean, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

IV. Cleaning the Nasal Cannula

The nasal cannula is a single-use product. If reused, it should be cleaned after each use. Soak it in white vinegar for about 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water, or wipe it with medical alcohol.

Note: The inside of the nasal cannula should be kept dry during use.

 Cleaning, Disinfection, and Sterilization

1. The oxygen delivery head can be wiped with alcohol after each use.

2. Generally, it should be cleaned once a week. Use a mild detergent for cleaning, and then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Note: Ensure that the water in the liquid bottle and tubing is completely dried  before reuse.
