A device used to provide oxygen therapy, which can continuously provide an oxygen concentration of more than 90%, and the flow rate is equivalent to 1-5L/min.

1, Brief history of development

Medical oxygen concentrators were developed in the late 1970s.

4, Componentes y principios principales:

El principio de funcionamiento del POC es el mismo que el de los concentradores de oxígeno domésticos; ambos utilizan la tecnología de adsorción por oscilación de presión (PSA).

The main components are small air compressor/molecular sieve tank/oxygen storage tank, solenoid valve and pipeline.

Flujo de trabajo: Un ciclo, el compresor interno comprime el aire a través de un sistema de filtrado de tamiz molecular. El filtro está compuesto por partículas de silicato de zeolita, que adsorben las moléculas de nitrógeno.

The atmosphere is about 21% oxygen and 78% nitrogen; and 1% other gas mixtures , so the filtration process separates the nitrogen from the air and concentrates the oxygen. When the required purity is achieved and the pressure of the first molecular sieve tank reaches about 139Kpa , oxygen and a small amount of other gases are released into the oxygen storage tank . When the pressure in the first cylinder drops, the nitrogen is released , the valve closes, and the gas is vented into the surrounding air. Most of the oxygen produced is delivered to the patient and a portion is sent back to the screen to flush out any residue left in the nitrogen and prepare the zeolite for the next cycle.
